We routinely hear of current or former employees, who became disgruntled while employed or shortly after a termination process. However, we do not often encounter an attack from that disgruntled employee nearly a year and a half after the termination date. The idea behind a “hardened facility” is preventing those situations an organization CAN PREDICT, but also those UNFORESEEN critical incidents. The first step in any safety and security plan MUST be a credible facility threat assessment which identifies security gaps and vulnerabilities which can be remedied through a comprehensive plan.
