Verbal De-escalation


No matter the profession, co-workers and customers alike experience the same complaints when dealing with potentially difficult people.  Rudeness, from employees or customers, can be warning signs of potential violence in the workplace.  APB’s Verbal De-escalation curriculum provides its students with the tools necessary to combat and de-escalate difficult encounters before they escalate. 

This course will teach you how to manage verbal situations by controlling the narrative. Workplace violence is ever rising and, most of the time, incidents can be avoided by knowing how to communicate effectively.  This lesson plan is designed to provide its students with techniques used to gain voluntary compliance and avoid situations that increase legal liability.  Listening and effective communication are keys to successfully de-escalating verbal confrontations.  APB’s Verbal De-escalation course will provide its students with the knowledge and practical application skills for successfully deescalating verbal conflicts.
