MEET OUR TEAM
Randy’s career in Corrections began in 1994 with the LFUCG Division of Detention Services at the 200 Clark Street facility. During the course of his twenty six year career, Randy held command positions for all three shifts within both the Intake and Custody Bureau’s. Randy also served in the Division’s alternative sentencing program (C.A.P.- Community Alternatives Program) to assist with reducing the inmate population until the 600 Old Frankfort facility began operations under its new designation as the Division of Community Corrections. In addition Randy served in the court transport unit.
In the five years prior to his retirement in January of 2021, Randy served as the Commander for the Division’s Bureau of Professional Standards with the primary responsibility of being the Division’s lead Internal Affairs investigator. Randy obtained national certifications as an I.A. investigator as well as PREA investigator. Currently, Randy is still a member in good standing with the National Association of Internal Affairs Investigators. In addition to his role in the Internal Affairs unit, Randy also served as the Commander for the Division’s Internal Intelligence unit which monitored validated STG members within the inmate population. The intel garnered was shared with outside law enforcement agencies, local, state and federal. Working closely with partner agencies, Randy also served the Division as the liaison for the Commonwealth Attorney’s Violent Crimes Task Force and the Organized Crime Work Group with the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security,
